The Detroit Red Wings are hoping to pick up their second consecutive victory in tonight's pre-Thanksgiving showdown at Little Caesars Arena against the Calgary Flames.

The Detroit Red Wings picked up two points that they badly needed on Monday night, a 4-2 win over the New York Islanders at UBS Arena.

The Red Wings and their fans are hoping to be giving thanks at the end of tonight's game against the Calgary Flames, in town for a pre-Thanksgiving showdown (7:30 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).

But there have already been a pair of setbacks for Detroit.

Earlier this morning in practice, goaltender Alex Lyon was injured; the Red Wings were subsequently forced to call up Ville Husso from the AHL under emergency conditions.

Additionally, winger Patrick Kane won't be able to play; it will be his second straight missed game, as he also was unavailable for Monday's game due to a reported upper-body issue.

According to MLive's Ansar Khan, the Red Wings will be moving forward with the following line combinations for the power play:

PP Unit 1: Rasmussen (net front), Larkin (bumper), DeBrincat-Raymond (flanks), Seider (point).

PP Unit 2. Compher (net front), Copp (bumper), Tarasenko-Kasper (flanks), Petry (point).

Meanwhile, The Daily Face-off has the following even strength line combinations that see J.T. Compher return to the second line pairing and Marco Kasper to the third.

Erik Gustafsson is also not expected to play for Detroit tonight.

Vladimir Tarasenko-Dylan Larkin-Lucas Raymond
Alex DeBrincat-J.T. Compher-Tyler Motte
Joe Veleno-Marco Kasper-Jonatan Berggren
Michael Rasmussen-Andrew Copp-Christian Fischer

Simon Edvinsson-Moritz Seider
Ben Chiarot-Jeff Petry
Albert Johansson-Justin Holl

Goaltender Cam Talbot has already been confirmed by head coach Derek Lalonde to be tonight's starter.

The Red Wings won't be seeing former winger Anthony Mantha for the Flames tonight, as he was lost for the season with an ACL injury.
