The Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes clashed at Wrigley Field on the ice, but the sweaters worn by the Wolverines did not get good reviews from fans.

The Michigan Wolverines hit the ice against the rival Ohio State Buckeyes at Wrigley Field in Chicago, the same rink recently used by the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues for the 2025 NHL Winter Classic.

Ohio State's Riley Thompson scored with 38 seconds left in regulation, giving the Buckeyes a 4-3 victory.

And as teams routinely do when they play special outdoor events, the Wolverines donned special sweaters for the occasion. But the reviews were anything but positive when they were unveiled.

It is very hard to make that color combo into a bad jersey but they did it.

Is that supposed to be some replica of an old sweater or something? That is trash haha

Are they playing for team mustard in a condiments showcase??

So many possibilities, and they come up with the equivalent of a golf polo on the front

Yes. This is bad. Like they took cues from basketball or something. Not good at all.

This is what happens when non hockey people are brought in to design Hockey Sweaters! Make it stop!

The Wolverines are the alma mater of several Detroit Red Wings players, including captain Dylan Larkin, J.T. Compher, and Andrew Copp.

There are also multiple notable former Wolverines in the NHL today, including Quinn Hughes, former Detroit Red Wings forward Luke Glendening, Jacob Trouba, Zach Werenski and Owen Power.
