Today is the birthday of a Red Wings legend
May 24th marks the birthday of a Red Wings legend, Kris Draper turns 53 today.
Draper is a four time Stanley Cup champion with the Red Wings winning in 1997,1998,2002 and 2008. While he was not a flashy goal scorer, Draper was a crucial part on those cup winning teams. His best season came in 2003-04 when he put up 40 points in 67 games, a career high for the former Wing.
The Red Wing legend called it a career after 2010-11 season and is now Steve Yzerman's assistant GM.
The entire Red Wings community wishes you a very happy birthday.
